Registration and right to study checks

What will I need to do?

The University is required to check that all of its students, UK and international, have the right to study in the UK. You can demonstrate your right to study by showing us a UK or Irish passport, or a passport from another country with a visa or other immigration permission which allows you to study at 黄大仙六肖中特期期准 University.  

An in-person right to study check must be completed before you can start your programme and at any point your immigration circumstances change, e.g. you obtain a new visa, or no longer require a visa because you have obtained UK nationality.

Where will I need to show my documents?

Once you have completed online registration and your ID card has been produced, you will be emailed with further information about where to have your in-person registration check and collect your ID card.

At other times of year, students at the East Midlands campus should make an appointment to visit the Student Records & Operations Team in the .

Distance Learning students

If you are normally resident outside of the UK, you will only be required to provide evidence of your nationality and immigration status if you are attending taught sessions at the University.

If you are not studying on campus but live in the UK and are not a British or Irish national, you will need to email a copy of your immigration documents to Student Records & Operations. See the above link for nationals of other countries for more details.
